Welcome to our site! My name is
Duane Demars. My love for cars spans a lifetime with ownership
of 79 cars over the years. In 2000 I found a 1950 Chevrolet in
a grove of timbers where it had sat for 25 years. I restored
it in 2001 to become the car of our dreams. Almost every weekend
during the summers, my wife Joanne and I go to car shows, and
I have taken many photos and spoken with many owners. The idea
came to me: Why not create a book for these owners to show off
their cars and share their dream cars with others? This book
was published and now we are going to do another one.

- New Book

When we closed entries on our first book, new car entries were
still coming in. So now we have a new book in pre production.
We are now accepting entries for this book and welcome any car
from anywhere in the country. See ADD CAR
for details. We have not set a publication date for this new
book, but the quicker you get your entry in the quicker we can
go to print. Our last book had over 100 cars and that is our
goal for this book.

- Car Show Calendar
To those of you who know me through the Car Show Calendar I publish
annually, here is little background you might find interesting.
When I started making the list of car shows, it was always after
a show was over that I found out about it. The first year I published,
I had 12 shows for Montana and Wyoming; this year our calendar
listed 78 shows. In addition, it has been picked up and published
on several web sites. The printed circulation is 1,800 and growing.
This calendar is now appearing on 4 internet site. This site,
burnthepoint.com, BMPracer.com and RavonStreetRods.com.

- A Final Word about
Car Shows
A car show is a great history lesson for the young, while others
remember a bygone era . We tend to relive our youth through the
cars we drove and the highways we traveled, while all the time
enjoying the friends we have met along the way. A car show is
one of the few places where income or profession doesn't play
into conversations. It's all about the cars and the stories that
go with them.
